Metamorph is a long term collaboration between Verity Coward, Clémentine Bedos, Assia Ghendir and Holly Hunter. Working with costume, sound, movement performance and 16mm, Metamorph revisited the myth of Daphne through a transcultural and multi-species lens. It used queer methodologies and storytelling to shift the narrative around Daphne in their becoming-tree. The film took inspiration from folk-horror genres and challenged notions that Daphne’s metamorphosis was a loss of self.
